Aubrey Louis Berry was found not guilty on all charges including first degree murder to upcoming Atlanta rap star and Akon protege Roderick Anthony Burton II aka Dolla. The 24-year-old music promoter who has been in jail since May 18th 2009 was released on Friday and walked away a free man.
Berry pleaded not guilty, and testified last week that he acted in self defense. Stating a case that Dolla threatened to kill him and that he believed he had a gun. Prosecutors tried to explain that police never found a weapon on Dolla, and that the gun shot to the head was because the rapper was fleeing. However, the jury believed there was not enough evidence to prove the case.
