Fantasia Attempts Suicide

R&B singer Fantasia Barrino was hospitalized on Monday after her manager, Brian Dickens, dialed 9-1-1 because the American Idol star overdosed on aspirin and a sleeping aid. She was admitted to Mercy South Hospital in Pineville, North Carolina where she was treated for exhaustion and dehydration. She’s in stable condition. It’s said that Fantasia was feeling “overwhelmed by the lawsuit and media attention” circulating her relationship with boyfriend Antwaun Cook and the alleged lawsuit by his ex-wife Paula Cook for destroying their marriage. Fantasia’s manager Brian Dickens says:

She was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention alleging she was involved with married man. Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon.

Now I don't know if this is just a publicity stunt or if your just had a moment, either way I hope she pulls through and finds the strength to deal with the consequences of her actions. This is why when you lay up with dogs you wake up with fleas. Get Well Soon Fantasia.
