American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino met with her boyfriend’s scorned wife, Paula Cook, earlier this month in an attempt to keep the details of Barrino’s alleged affair with Antwaun Cook private and out of the Mecklenburg County courthouse according to RadarOnline.com. R&B singer Fantasia Barrino was hospitalized on Monday after her manager, Brian Dickens, dialed 9-1-1 because the American Idol star overdosed on aspirin and a sleeping aid. She was admitted to Mercy South Hospital in Pineville, North Carolina where she was treated for exhaustion and dehydration. She’s in stable condition. It’s said that Fantasia was feeling “overwhelmed by the lawsuit and media attention” circulating her relationship with boyfriend Antwaun Cook and the alleged lawsuit by his ex-wife Paula Cook for destroying their marriage. Fantasia’s manager Brian Dickens says:

She was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention alleging she was involved with married man. Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon.

Fantasia Gets A Chair Thrown At Her

According to Bossip, Fantasia got her head busted with a chair while she was chillin in the VIP section at the Kush Lounge in South Carolina. The promoter then threw a chair at Fantasia. After which security fled to the scene and tried to break it up. Fantasia was rushed out and the club promoter was escorted elsewhere. No one was arrested.

VH1 Has Tapped Fantasia For A New Reality Show

Move over Ray J! Powerhouse vocalist Fantasia is the latest R&B star to land a Vh1 reality series. And she won't be looking for love or money.

According to People.com, the show will chronicle Barrino's career and her life as a single mom. "Fantasia's life has been an open book, but at 24 years old, her story has just begun," executive producer Randy Barbato told the Hollywood Reporter.

He's not lying about her life being an open book, Fantasia has already written a bestselling autobiography called "Life is Not a Fairytale," and played herself in the Lifetime movie based on the book. So for the true Fantasia fans, who have probably already seen the movie and read the book, why tune in???

"Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to American Idol,'" Jeff Olde, executive VP of original programming at VH1, said."Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world."

According to Olde, Barrino's show was coveted among industry insiders. I gotta wonder which other networks were vying for the show? BET? MTV? It doesn't really seem like Bravo's kinda thing.

Oh and listen to how exec producer Barbato is selling the show: "We look forward to smashing expectations and revealing the fresh, funny and unexpected side of this one-of-a-kind country girl and superstar."
