Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth sky rocketed from 2 some billion to $6.9 billion all within a year. Founded back in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg out of a dormitory at Harvard, Facebook has seen absolutely massive growth over the past couple of years. The latest numbers puts Facebook right around 500 million active users which translates to about 1 in every 14 people in the world actively using the social network. At only 26, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, is officially the world’s youngest billionaire. In fact, according to Forbes, Zuckerberg is now worth a note worthy $6.9 billion thanks to his 24% stake in Facebook.
Another thing to make note of is that Zuckerberg has now passed Apple CEO Steve Jobs on the Forbes 400 list who has a net worth of around $6.1 billion. With Facebook coming preinstalled on just about every handset and talks of an actual Facebook branded handset circulating, it’s going to be interesting to see how much higher Zuckerberg’s net worth rockets. Seeing how he’s only 26 and already richer than Steve Jobs who is 55, it’s safe to assume that the young CEO’s net worth will reach even more astronomical numbers in the years and/or decades to come. He's in the money. SMH
