Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Has Blood Cancer

NBA Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been diagnosed with with a rare form of blood cancer called chronic myeloid leukemia. He is been treated with oral medications and doctors say he should not have to make any lifestyle changes. Jabbar was first diagnosed in December of last year. He states that he wants to bring attention and awareness to this disease the same way as Magic Johnson brought attention HIV.
