Authorities arrested Martin in Oakland after a Berkeley patrol officer found the body of Zoelina Williams on the shoreline near Bolivar Drive and Potter Street during a routine security check at about 4 a.m. Friday.
A search was carried out over the weekend for Williams' 17-month-old son, Jashon Williams. On Sunday, a child's body was found in the San Francisco Bay, south of the Berkeley Marina.

The Alameda County Coroner's Office is working to determine whether the body is that that of Jashon.
Homicide investigators believe Jashon was with his mother at the time of her death, police said.
