Tyler Perry's mother, Willie Maxine Perry, who was the basis for his most popular character, Madea died Tuesday December 8. She was 64. Maxine Perry was a preschool teacher who worked at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center for most of her life. The cause of her death has not been reported.
